30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge:  21- A song which inspires you

So I stopped doing this for some reason in the summer, and I randomly decided to continue!

Light - Next to Normal.

This show, and ESPECIALLY this song, has helped me through A LOT. I can’t even begin to describe it. I’m only a sophomore but I’m pretty sure my senior quote will be from this song. Not to mention that my url is from this song.

(For the rest, click here).

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 20 - From your ‘guilty pleasure’ musical.

Hehe. Shrek and Legally Blonde.

“I Know It’s Today” from Shrek the Musical

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 19 - From a musical which disappointed you.

None that I recall right now.

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 18 - With the best lyrics.

THESE ARE ALL NEXT TO NORMAL.

But Next to Normal lyrics are genius. Beautiful. Everything.

So here’s “Light” from N2N.

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 17 - With the best music

It has to be a tie between Next to Normal and Spring Awakening. What a shocker.

Tony Performance - Spring Awakening

30 Day Musical Theatre Challenge: 16 - From your least favourite musical, by your favourite composer

For the last time, I don’t have a favorite composer. Sorry?

So enjoy this random video of a cute kitty.

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 15 - By your favourite musical composer.

This is kinda hard because I don’t have a favorite composer.

Like, I like Sondheim but haven’t heard enough of his work. The stuff I have heard, I love.

I like Webber, but same. ^

Would it be bad if I said Alan Menken? I prretty much worship this man, mainly because of his Disney movie work.

So here’s Beauty and the Beast’s Tony performance.

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 14 - From the musical you haven’t listened to (or seen) in a while.

There are a bunch. But one that comes to the top of my head is Joseph! I actually really, really like that musical.

Jacob and Sons - Jacob and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 13 - From the musical you loved from hearing the first note.

Well there are a few. But I was obsessed with Superboy and the Invisible Girl from the first time I heard it. Obsessed. Whatashocker. Another n2n one.

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 12 - You could listen to all day.

Probably All That’s Known from Spring Awakening.

Or My Junk.

Or pretty much anything from that musical.

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 11 - From the musical which made the most impact on you.

God, I’m so boring! Again, this is a tie between Wicked and Next to Normal.

Wicked was my first real musical obsession.

Next to Normal has led to me to soooooo many things. It’s really changed my life.

Since I put a N2N song last time, I’ll do a Wicked song this time. Dancing Through Life

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 10 - From your least favourite musical.

I don’t have/can’t think of a least favorite musical! I guess if I’m willing to pay money to see it, I’ve done enough research to know that I would like it. So I don’t really have a least favorite. Sorry!

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 9 - From the musical you know all (or nearly all) the lines to.

Well, I used to be obsessed with Wicked. So I know all of the songs (doesn’t everybody :P)

But also, (what a shocker), NEXT TO NORMAL.

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 8 - Sung by your favourite male singer in a musical.

Aaron Tveityummy. I’m Alive!

30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge: 7 - Sung by your favourite female singer in a musical

Sutton Foster!

I love all of her songs, but Astonishing is up there on the list.
